Associate Director – Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor - Data Center Construction

Job Highlights
About the Role
• Lead end‑to‑end cost management for hyperscale data centre programs across all project phases. • Develop and maintain detailed cost plans, estimates and forecasts using benchmarks and technical data. • Manage change control, review and negotiate change orders, and ensure robust commercial governance. • Oversee contractor and subcontractor pricing, scope validation and procurement strategy; support capital planning. • Integrate cost forecasts with project schedules and produce monthly cost reports and executive summaries. • Serve as primary commercial liaison, maintaining strong client, vendor and stakeholder relationships. • Conduct cost risk analysis, scenario planning and monitor market trends for price escalations. • Drive cost optimisation and value engineering to reduce lifecycle costs. • Set and track KPIs, prepare presentations for senior leadership and report financial performance. • Manage financial performance via Business Management Systems and ensure best‑practice delivery. • Identify and implement improvements to cost management processes, templates and tools. • Provide leadership, mentor junior staff and foster a collaborative high‑performance culture. • Act as brand ambassador, develop market insight, build pipeline and pursue cross‑selling opportunities. • Contribute to proposals/RFP responses and attend networking events to expand market presence. • Adhere to applicable SOX control responsibilities where required.

What You Bring
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering or a related field; graduate degree preferred. • Possess 8–10+ years of cost management or project controls experience on large‑scale, mission‑critical construction projects. • Demonstrate proven client‑facing consultancy delivery and strong understanding of MEP systems and campus‑scale infrastructure. • Expertise in budgeting, financial reporting, cost control, Earned Value Management and procurement strategies. • Proficiency with CostX, Oracle, Excel, Primavera or similar cost management tools. • RICS accreditation or progress toward certification is highly desirable. • Exhibit excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and stakeholder management skills. • Show strong analytical, problem‑solving abilities and capacity to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
