About the Role

• Remove, disassemble, assemble, and install components and parts • Determine part reusability according to Caterpillar guidelines • Order correct and complete replacement parts • Clean, repair, recondition, and maintain equipment and components • Test, measure, and adjust engine and machine systems • Prepare, inspect, and operate machines prior to delivery • Stay current with tooling, technologies, and systems • Prepare accurate inspection, appraisal, and service reports promptly • Maintain professional appearance and follow company policy • Work flexible hours, including after‑hours, to meet customer needs • Maintain a tool inventory sufficient for assigned tasks

What You Bring

Milton CAT is seeking experienced Service Technicians to diagnose, repair, recondition, overhaul, and maintain heavy equipment and components for both customers and the company. Technicians may work in shop or field across the Earthmoving and Power Systems divisions and may need to work beyond normal hours for emergencies or routine service. Candidates must have at least a high school diploma or GED, three years of heavy‑equipment shop experience (preferred), and knowledge of CAT or similar equipment. Proficiency in mechanical systems, computer applications, strong problem‑solving and math skills, and the ability to lift over 50 lb are required. • Diagnose problems using logical troubleshooting steps • High school diploma or GED required • Preferred: three years of shop experience on heavy equipment, especially CAT • Knowledge of heavy‑equipment service and maintenance • Proficiency with mechanical systems such as transmissions, engines, hydraulics • Computer proficiency in Word, Excel, and related software • Strong problem‑solving, detail orientation, and high accuracy • Strong math skills • Ability to lift more than 50 lb • Ability to work with urgency and exceed customer expectations • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast‑paced environment • Preferred: associate’s degree in a related field
