Sheet Metal Duct Installer

About the Role

The role involves selecting appropriate sheet‑metal types from plans, measuring and marking dimensions, drilling holes, and installing ductwork. Installers will bend, cut, and fabricate metal on‑site or in‑shop, set hangers, and secure seams using welding, bolting, riveting or soldering. Additional tasks include maneuvering large parts, anchoring components, and trimming, fitting, hanging, and sealing ductwork for commercial and industrial projects. • Select sheet‑metal types according to building or design plans • Measure, mark, and drill metal sheets for screws, bolts, and rivets • Install, bend, cut, and fabricate ductwork on‑site or in‑shop • Set hangers, trim, fit, hang, and seal ductwork for commercial/industrial projects • Fasten seams or joints by welding, bolting, riveting, or soldering
