About the Role

The Community Manager reports to the Regional Manager and oversees all aspects of a housing community’s operations, including personnel, leasing, maintenance, financials, administration, and risk management. This on‑site leader ensures compliance with Asset policies, safety standards, fair‑housing guidelines, and affordable‑housing program requirements while driving resident satisfaction and property performance. • Supervise on‑site staff: hire, train, coach, schedule, and address performance issues. • Manage financial operations: develop budgets, monitor rent collection, reconcile vendor invoices, and maximize net operating income. • Lead leasing strategy: create annual marketing plans, execute resident retention programs, process leases, and show properties to prospects. • Oversee administrative and maintenance tasks: ensure accurate reporting, coordinate emergency response, conduct property inspections, and manage maintenance workflows. • Maintain compliance with Asset policies, fair housing laws, OSHA standards, and affordable‑housing program regulations.

What You Bring

• Minimum two years experience with affordable housing programs (e.g., LIHTC, HUD Section 8, USDA Rural Development) preferred. • Relevant certifications such as Affordable Housing Accreditation, CAM, or ARM are advantageous but not required. • Education: high school diploma required; bachelor's degree or four years industry experience preferred. • Proficient in basic computer skills and on‑site software functions. • Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 lb, and respond to on‑call emergencies; reliable transportation required.

Benefits

Compensation includes a salary range of $75,000 to $85,000 per year, complemented by a comprehensive total rewards package featuring medical, dental, vision, life, accidental and disability insurance, 401(k) with employer matching, paid sick days, holidays, and potential commissions or performance bonuses.
