Inside Sales/Delivery Driver

About the Role

The role focuses on providing exceptional customer service and generating new sales opportunities. You will respond to customer order and quotation requests received over the counter, by outside sales representatives, telephone, email, and fax, and you will be responsible for receiving, entering, processing orders, and delivering products. Key responsibilities include greeting and interacting with customers, upselling related products and promotions, developing relationships to make White Cap the first‑choice supplier, and analyzing the market to champion sales initiatives that increase share and profitability. You will answer customer questions about accounts, products, rates, and services, communicate product features, benefits, and warranty policies, and process orders, quote prices, and provide order information. Additional duties involve pulling orders, restocking merchandise, arranging stock on shelves, maintaining showroom cleanliness, and driving the delivery van to pick up incoming stock or deliver materials to designated locations. • Respond to customer orders and quotation requests via counter, phone, email, fax, and outside sales reps. • Upsell related products and promote current product promotions. • Build and maintain relationships to position White Cap as the preferred supplier. • Analyze market trends and lead sales initiatives to grow market share and profitability. • Answer customer inquiries about accounts, products, rates, and services. • Communicate product features, benefits, and warranty policies to customers. • Process orders, generate price quotes, and enter order details into the system. • Pull and restock merchandise, organize stock on shelves, and keep the showroom clean. • Operate the delivery van to pick up stock and deliver materials to designated sites. • Follow established processes and seek supervisor guidance for non‑routine situations. • Stand or walk continuously and lift/handle items weighing 8‑40 lb; no travel required.

What You Bring

Work is performed in a comfortable indoor area with occasional exposure to dust, fumes, temperature extremes, loud noise, or bright lights. The job requires continuous standing or walking and regular lifting of moderate to heavy items (8‑40 lb). No travel is required, and you will operate under close supervision, following prescribed processes and seeking guidance for non‑routine issues. • Hold a high school diploma or GED; 0‑2 years of relevant experience preferred.
