About the Role

As a Gensler Architectural Designer you will join a collaborative team of architects and designers, guiding projects from concept through construction administration. You will translate sketches and documents into detailed 3D models and working drawings, while researching technical issues as they arise. The role values innovative thinking balanced with pragmatic technical solutions, personal responsibility, and open communication. Your core responsibilities include developing design and delivery of architectural and technical aspects, producing BIM models and construction drawings, and resolving challenging technical and design issues. You will collaborate with clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders throughout design development, construction documents, and administration phases. Sustainability is a key focus, requiring you to study and apply sustainable design strategies and conduct climate‑focused analyses. • Collaborate with architects and designers to develop design solutions through construction administration. • Translate sketches into detailed 3D models, working drawings, and technical documentation. • Produce BIM models and resolve technical and design challenges to create constructible solutions. • Support sustainability targets and conduct climate‑focused analyses throughout project phases. • Develop real‑time visualizations, VR walkthroughs, and detailed FF&E specifications. • Utilize additional tools such as Unity, Unreal Engine, C#, and Python for experiential design.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold an undergraduate or Master’s degree in Architecture and have at least five years of post‑qualification professional experience. While registration as an architect in the United Kingdom is beneficial, it is not required. Essential skills include proficiency in Revit, Rhino, Grasshopper, a deep knowledge of local building regulations, and the ability to manage the full project lifecycle. Design technology expertise should cover Autodesk Revit for authoring and documentation, BIM collaboration, real‑time visualization, and FF&E specification development. • Maintain minimum five years of post‑qualification experience with an Architecture degree. • Demonstrate proficiency in Revit, Rhino, Grasshopper, and knowledge of local building codes. • Expertise in Autodesk Revit for authoring, documentation, BIM collaboration, and clash detection.
