About the Role
Our services help clients promote, implement, and manage sustainable development from pre‑feasibility to planning consent, establishing plans for accessibility and future growth, and delivering multi‑disciplinary design from concept through detailed design and construction. • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, leveraging client and professional networks. • Set and agree growth targets with the Regional Director and local office lead. • Build trusted relationships with public and private sector clients and planning authorities. • Provide technical advice throughout the planning and design processes. • Coordinate market intelligence and best practice across the Development team. • Lead and support bid submissions, adding commercial and technical value. • Act as Project Director for major and strategically important commissions. • Ensure compliance with SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) standards. • Provide flexible “WSP My Hour” for personal activities each day. • Promote an inclusive culture through employee resource groups and flexible work arrangements.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate has a proven record of winning and delivering new work within a multidisciplinary consultancy, with experience in both public and private sectors. They are adept at managing large, multi‑disciplinary tender proposals and identifying opportunities with existing and new clients, internal sector leads, and colleagues across WSP. We require a degree in transport planning or civil engineering, chartered status, commercial and strategic capability with a demonstrable track record of new business, excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, and a broad range of relevant project experience. • Demonstrate WSP core values and collaborative behavior.
