About the Role
The Fiber Splicer is responsible for producing end‑to‑end fiber optic networks and delivering quality work. This role involves testing, troubleshooting, and ensuring the integrity of fiber links in outdoor utility construction sites. • Test and troubleshoot fiber optic network continuity. • Operate testing equipment and resolve common fiber optic challenges. • Prepare fiber splice enclosures (Tyco, CommScope, Corning, etc.). • Use fusion splicer and test equipment such as OTDR, DWDM, CWDM, OLTS, Max Tester, and power meter. • Work on outdoor utility construction sites.
