About the Role

The Material Inspector role in Dubai, UAE, focuses on performing required tests, verifying that arrived materials meet project specifications, and inspecting all materials used on site. You will ensure compliance with approved sources, coordinate testing activities, and support both quality control and quality assurance processes. • Supervise all site tests and sampling; witness contractor or third‑party laboratory and in‑situ tests and prepare samples. • Coordinate with the Work Inspector to confirm work approval for testing and address areas of concern. • Perform sampling and testing efficiently to avoid delays to contractor operations. • Conduct regular checks of delivered materials for conformance with approved sources or suppliers. • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities. • Assist the Senior Work Inspector (Materials) and Senior Materials Engineer with review, approval, testing, and acceptance of materials.

What You Bring

• Hold a Technical Diploma or Degree in a related field with at least 7 years of relevant experience (or Civil Engineering degree with minimum 3 years on roads, bridges, concrete, utilities projects). • Able to read and enforce working drawings, specifications, inspection and test plans, and method statements. • Fully computer literate; proficient with software for data access, record‑keeping, reporting, and project‑specific engineering tools. • Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with the project team.
