About the Role

The Manager, Customer Safety Trainer is tasked with recruiting, coaching, and supervising field safety trainers to maximize productivity and grow safety training revenue in line with Sunbelt's Strategic Plan. This role oversees trainer performance across assigned coverage areas and drives operational margins. Key responsibilities include managing District Safety Trainers (DSTs) by optimizing class sizes, scheduling, and revenue targets; expanding trainer technical and instructional skillsets; ensuring compliance with SOPs, invoicing, and LMS documentation; and identifying new markets for full‑time trainers. The manager also supports budget development, monitors financial performance, and seeks growth opportunities through partnerships, upselling, and cross‑selling. Collaboration with national and strategic account teams is essential to sell training services, promote new product offerings, and train sales staff on safety training solutions. The role works closely with district, regional, and territorial sales leaders to integrate training into broader customer solutions. • Recruit, coach, and supervise field safety trainers to meet productivity and revenue goals. • Optimize class sizes and scheduling to maximize trainer efficiency and minimize downtime. • Expand trainer technical and instructional skillsets across a broader range of equipment and courses. • Ensure DSTs comply with SOPs, invoicing timelines, and proper LMS documentation. • Maintain a rolling three‑month training schedule and audit trainer paperwork for accuracy. • Identify new market opportunities and lead trainer recruitment and onboarding processes. • Develop and monitor the annual budget, address negative variances, and implement corrective actions. • Collaborate with national and strategic account teams to sell safety training and train sales staff. • Create integration with district, regional, and territorial sales leadership to promote training services.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent, demonstrate leadership and supervisory skills, understand P&L statements, and possess broad knowledge of construction safety standards.
