About the Role

The Middle Level Tester is responsible for testing commercial HVAC systems to ensure they meet quality and production standards. They correct any issues identified during testing and must complete duties safely, promptly, and in accordance with engineering specifications. Key responsibilities include coordinating the work of co‑workers to meet production schedules, training new employees, and ensuring that necessary parts are available. The tester must communicate effectively with management and other departments to achieve departmental and company goals. Technical duties involve operating recovery and reclaim machines to remove Freon before fixing leaks, running test units from production lines to verify compliance with engineering specs, and troubleshooting and repairing defects. They also verify that units are built correctly to work orders and perform wiring, brazing, and assembly as required. • Coordinate coworker tasks to meet production standards and schedules. • Train new employees on testing procedures and safety protocols. • Ensure parts availability and adherence to production timelines. • Operate recovery and reclaim machines to remove Freon before leak repairs. • Test production units against engineering specifications. • Troubleshoot and repair defects in test units. • Verify units are built according to work orders and specifications. • Perform wiring, brazing, and assembly tasks as needed.

What You Bring

Candidates must have at least vocational or technical training, 0‑5 years of industry experience, and hold a 608 Universal EPA Refrigerant license. Strong verbal and written communication skills, the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, and the capacity to complete formal training are essential. Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lb, climbing, stooping, and prolonged sitting, as well as exposure to seasonal temperature extremes, dust, and chemical fumes in the manufacturing facility.
