About the Role
The Engineer Equipment Mechanic performs high‑level preventative maintenance and repairs on diesel and gasoline‑driven material handling and construction equipment, including 50‑ton mobile hydraulic cranes, container handlers, forklifts, tractors, power shovels, road machinery, air compressors, and concrete mixers. The role also troubleshoots and repairs MVAC systems, lifts up to 50 lb, and conducts spot painting. Operator, intermediate, and limited major rebuild levels of maintenance are performed, and technical assistance and training are provided to lower‑level mechanics while supporting senior mechanics. Additional tasks are assigned as needed. • Perform high‑level preventative maintenance and repairs on diesel and gasoline‑powered material handling and construction equipment (e.g., cranes, forklifts, tractors, shovels, compressors, concrete mixers). • Troubleshoot and repair MVAC systems. • Lift up to 50 lb and conduct spot painting as part of maintenance tasks. • Execute operator, intermediate, and limited major rebuild maintenance levels. • Provide technical assistance, guidance, and training to lower‑level mechanics and support senior mechanics.

What You Bring
Basic qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, four years of directly related experience, and completion of the Basic Engineer Program Mechanics Course (or equivalent) plus an MVAC certification. Candidates must be able to use technical manuals, specifications, and measuring instrumentation, hold a valid state driver’s license, and obtain a Tactical Operator License and Common Access Card. U.S. citizenship, ability to lift 50 lb, and compliance with safety, quality, and schedule standards are required. • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent and at least four years of related experience. • Complete the Basic Engineer Program Mechanics Course (or equivalent) and obtain MVAC certification. • Proficient in using technical manuals, specifications, and measuring instrumentation. • Maintain a valid state driver’s license; obtain Tactical Operator License and Common Access Card as required. • U.S. citizenship and ability to lift 50 lb.
