About the Role
The role involves supporting and executing reliability tests on HVAC components, processing data to identify issues, maintaining reliability metrics and standards for continuous product improvement, and working in an R&D facility with lab testing personnel and other engineering departments throughout product life cycles. Essential duties include assisting in product qualification test plans (functional, reliability, durability), conducting production reliability tests, evaluating performance and failure trends, determining reliability requirements, performing reliability analysis with the team, collaborating to improve durability test methodology, supporting root cause analysis, and reviewing codes and engineering standards. • Execute reliability tests on HVAC components and analyze data to identify issues. • Maintain and update reliability metrics and standards for product improvement. • Assist in developing functional, reliability, and durability test plans. • Conduct production reliability testing and anticipate potential failures. • Evaluate product performance, history, and failure trends to pinpoint root causes. • Define reliability requirements for components and systems under senior engineer supervision. • Perform reliability analysis to ensure designs meet reliability specifications. • Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance durability test methodologies. • Support root cause analysis and resolution for test‑related and field‑returned issues. • Review engineering codes and standards for compliance. • Work in an office with occasional visits to manufacturing sites with temperature extremes, dust, and chemical fumes.

What You Bring
Education and experience requirements: an ABET‑accredited engineering degree (or equivalent in applied sciences) and 1‑2 years of HVAC industry experience or similar. Desired knowledge, skills, and abilities: effective written and oral communication, strong interpersonal skills, sound decision‑making and analytical problem‑solving, excellent multitasking and organizational abilities, and ability to work well in a fast‑paced team environment. • Hold an ABET‑accredited engineering degree (or equivalent) with 1‑2 years HVAC experience. • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, decision‑making, and problem‑solving skills. • Exhibit multitasking, organizational abilities, and teamwork in a fast‑paced environment.
