About the Role

As an Assistant Property Manager, you will play a vital role in the smooth operation of the property under the guidance of the Property Manager. You will assist with leasing, collections, resident services, and maintenance oversight while ensuring high standards and providing top‑notch service to residents and staff. • Address delinquent accounts, initiate evictions, and attend court hearings as needed • Collect payments and follow up on delinquencies • Manage apartment rentals, move‑ins, resident insurance, and lease renewals • Schedule appointments for prospects and residents • Maintain accurate resident records and process security deposit refunds • Promote resident retention programs and resolve resident concerns • Support Property Manager in their absence and assist with managerial duties • Create monthly reports on renewals, rents, leasing, resident retention, and maintenance • Train and coach office staff, attend meetings, and take minutes • Process payments and purchase orders • Build vendor relationships, handle invoicing, and manage vendor statements • Oversee lease and renewal processes ensuring compliance • Ensure adherence to Fair Housing laws and company policies

The position requires two to three years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably in property management or a sales/customer service role, a valid driver’s license and good driving record, and strong interpersonal, analytical, and detail‑oriented skills. • 2‑3 years of related experience or equivalent education/training • Prior property management or sales/customer service experience • Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and auto insurance (if travel required) • Strong interpersonal and communication skills • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities • Detail‑oriented with ability to manage multiple tasks
