Remote Estimator - Senior Industrial

Job Highlights
About the Role
• Develop detailed cost estimates for civil, structural, and mechanical components, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted work. • Calculate project indirect costs such as general conditions, management staff, temporary facilities, equipment, markups, and contingencies. • Analyze drawings, specifications, site data, and requirements to assess constructability and cost impacts. • Identify estimating processes and project actions that may affect outcomes. • Support teams in budgeting, value‑engineering, and alternative construction approaches. • Prepare quantity takeoffs using standard tools and software. • Generate crew build‑ups and determine production rates. • Solicit, evaluate, and level vendor and subcontractor quotes. • Develop work breakdown structures and estimate plans, basis of estimate, and qualifications. • Lead estimate preparation and conduct estimate reviews. • Collaborate with project management, engineering, and procurement to ensure estimate accuracy. • Prepare bid tabulations responding to RFP requirements. • Collect, analyze, and archive project data; develop historical documentation and benchmark comparisons. • Supervise junior staff, set goals, and document performance. • Interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and specifications accurately.

What You Bring
The position is located in Denver, CO (remote work model) and reports to the Energy operating group. Compensation ranges from $125,000 to $145,000 annually. AECOM is an equal‑opportunity employer; US citizenship is required and relocation or sponsorship is not available. • Hold a BA/BS in engineering or construction (ABET‑accredited) with at least 8 years of relevant experience. • US citizenship is required. • Possess 7–10 years of estimating experience in industrial, heavy civil, or large‑scale commercial construction. • Demonstrate proven experience estimating civil, structural, and mechanical scopes. • Be proficient with estimating software such as Trimble WinEstimator, ACCE, Bluebeam, HeavyBid, Sage, or On‑Screen Takeoff. • Have experience in sectors like manufacturing, energy, mining, oil & gas, or infrastructure. • Understand construction methods, cost drivers, and labor productivity. • Familiar with project controls, scheduling, and work breakdown structures. • Exhibit excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
