About the Role
The role involves conducting comprehensive fire‑door inspections across commercial premises in the south of England, liaising with approved contractors for remedial work, and providing technical advice when required. Full training in fire‑door compliance and standards will be provided, and the position requires a practical understanding of building trades, a professional appearance, and strong communication skills. Travel across the south of England on foot and by transport is a core part of the job, and flexible working hours may be required to meet client needs. The inspector will use smartphones, tablets and a CAFM system to record findings, update logs, complete method statements and risk assessments, and ensure compliance with health and safety and industry regulations. • Conduct fire‑door inspections across commercial contracts • Assess condition and compliance with standards and regulations • Identify defects and recommend remedial actions • Produce detailed inspection reports and recommendations • Record findings and complete documentation in the CAFM system • Update on‑site log books and issue inspection certificates • Prepare method statements and risk assessments for inspections • Coordinate remedial work with approved contractors • Ensure adherence to company QA, site procedures and health‑and‑safety standards • Follow recognized industry and fire‑safety regulations at all times • Offer flexible working hours to meet client requirements • Travel extensively across the south of England, on foot and by transport • Undertake training in fire‑door standards, regulations and compliance • Provide technical advice to clients and contractors • Commit to comprehensive training in fire‑door compliance and standards
