About the Role

The primary purpose of the position is to prospect, build relationships with customers, and acquire new business for power, gas, and alternative energy products. This involves understanding client objectives, developing energy plans, and delivering presentations that close sales. • Prospect and develop relationships with Fortune 500 customers to sell power, gas, and alternative energy products. • Create energy plans, conduct presentations, and close sales transactions. • Analyze customer business objectives and price risk tolerances to design hedging strategies. • Promote Constellation’s core values, diversity, inclusion, and mentor team members. • Meet gross margin quotas by leveraging technical expertise in core and alternative energy products. • Travel within Illinois territory as needed; occasional overnight trips covered by company policy. • Identify and engage high‑level decision makers, delivering effective communication and presentations. • Attend training, all‑hands meetings, and other in‑person engagements.

What You Bring

The role is a territory‑based field sales position serving clients throughout Illinois and can be performed remotely for candidates residing in the state. Travel within the territory is required, with occasional overnight trips covered under Constellation’s standard travel policy. • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) and relevant sales experience (2‑5 years for associate, 5‑9 years for manager). • Strong written, oral, and group communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office. • Established network of contacts in business, government, and public interest groups (preferred for manager level). • Business‑to‑business sales and energy commodity experience, especially in Illinois. • Proven ability to generate leads, meet sales metrics, and exceed KPIs.
