About the Role

The role focuses on resolving direct and indirect material and service issues from major internal and external suppliers, handling strategic commodities across multiple locations. It ensures uninterrupted material availability at optimal cost, quality and service by managing bottleneck throughput, maintaining strategic relationships, and balancing supplier quality with engineering specifications and delivery expectations. Key responsibilities include managing documentation errors, technical or source changes, and approvals for delivered materials, coordinating revision updates, and handling non‑conforming material returns. The position also oversees external permit and concession applications, expedites critical form completion, supports accounts payable queries, and drives cross‑functional collaboration to maintain material availability. • Resolve material and service issues from internal and external suppliers, addressing technical, system, or documentation problems to ensure uninterrupted supply at optimal cost, quality, and service. • Manage bottleneck material throughput by identifying and acting on supply base availability constraints. • Maintain and develop strategic relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders. • Champion problem resolution between internal functions and external material supply organizations. • Handle documentation errors, technical/source changes, and approvals for delivered materials (Grief Shelf/GRI MRB). • Conduct skillful discussions with suppliers to develop win‑win solutions. • Coordinate revision level updates and manage non‑conforming material returns to vendor. • Monitor source change requests, expedite approvals, and align with Quality for FAIR documentation. • Manage external permits and concession applications, expediting completion through quality, supplier and engineering links. • Facilitate completion of permits, concessions, FAIR and CAF forms. • Support accounts payable inquiries and invoice resolution with suppliers. • Drive cross‑functional collaboration to ensure material availability and prompt issue resolution. • Analyze and interpret technical change requests related to quality and engineering delivery.

What You Bring

Candidates should have at least two years of experience in operations, material management or quality, preferably within aerospace, and possess technical knowledge of drawings and commodity products. Required skills include decision‑making, problem‑solving, collaborative communication with diverse stakeholders, proficiency in ERP and Microsoft Office (especially Excel), and a basic understanding of commercial and contract terms. • 2+ years experience in operations, material management or quality, preferably aerospace. • Possesses technical knowledge for reading drawings and understanding direct material requirements. • Demonstrated leadership, strategic thinking, and experience with commodity products and suppliers. • Strong communication, customer service and interpersonal skills with diverse stakeholders. • Knowledgeable in ERP system operations, enterprise reporting and data mining. • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. • Basic understanding of commercial terms, practices, and contract conditions.
