About the Role
A Job Captain is responsible for producing high‑quality project deliverables throughout all phases of a project, from schematic design through construction administration. The role supports the Project Architect in developing documents for bidding and construction and helps shape the technical schedule by communicating design implications. This position may involve occasional travel and other duties as assigned. Key responsibilities include organizing and directing the architectural and engineering team to execute work in a timely, coordinated manner, preparing construction documents, and coordinating with consultants, contractors, and team members. The Job Captain reviews shop drawings and submittals for compliance, documents code review findings, and communicates daily operations with management, clients, and vendors. • Assist Project Architect in developing bidding and construction documents. • Provide input to design and construction schedule, communicating technical implications. • Organize and direct architectural/engineering teams to execute work orderly and timely. • Prepare and coordinate project construction documents with consultants and contractors. • Review shop drawings and submittals for compliance with project documents. • Document code reviews and ensure regulatory compliance. • Communicate daily operations with management, clients, consultants, and vendors. • Participate in 401(k) plan with discretionary matching contributions.

What You Bring
Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree in architecture or a related field and have 4–8 years of professional experience. Proficiency in Revit Architecture is required, with additional skills in AutoCAD, Photoshop, SketchUp, or other 3D modeling tools considered a plus. Preferred experience includes DSA work for California projects and exposure to educational, healthcare, corporate, or sports sectors, along with strong customer service, organizational, and communication abilities. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field. • Possess 4–8 years of professional architectural experience. • Demonstrate proficiency in Revit Architecture; AutoCAD, Photoshop, SketchUp a plus. • Preferred DSA experience for California projects and experience in education, healthcare, corporate, or sports sectors. • Exhibit strong customer service, organizational, and oral/written communication skills. • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

The compensation range is $68,000–$90,000, with the exact salary based on experience, location, and internal equity, and may include discretionary bonuses.
