About the Role
The Facility Maintenance role is based in busy school environments, where you will perform a variety of preventive and unscheduled maintenance tasks. You will work independently and alongside the operations team to ensure facilities run smoothly. Key duties include receiving, updating, and completing work orders in the CMMS, troubleshooting and repairing HVAC, plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, and other systems, and using building prints and schematics to resolve issues. You will source tools and materials, maintain inventory levels, and adhere to safety procedures and company policies. What You Bring
Candidates should have a two‑year technical degree or equivalent experience, solid knowledge of building systems, strong verbal and written communication, and the ability to report daily site conditions. Physical requirements include climbing ladders, operating machinery, and lifting up to 75 lb, as well as a valid driver’s license and clean criminal record. Preferred experience includes prior work in schools and proficiency in painting, equipment repair, plumbing, and electrical work. The position follows a Monday‑Friday schedule (7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.) with potential overtime and an on‑call rotation after training, and is a union‑bargained role offering $30.21 hourly pay and benefits. • Require technical degree or related experience, strong building systems knowledge, and ability to lift 75 lb and climb ladders. • Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic computer operations. • Hold a valid driver’s license, clean criminal record, and demonstrate excellent customer service.
