About the Role
Key duties include providing in‑depth technical expertise to develop, manage, and implement engineering analyses and programs, consulting as a subject‑matter expert to resolve equipment and system issues, and leading short‑ and long‑term projects that impact site operations. The engineer ensures work accuracy, completeness, and proper configuration management, conducts independent research, recommends equipment or techniques to improve performance and reduce costs, and may be called upon for emergency response, departmental coverage, or outage support. • Provide advanced technical expertise for nuclear plant operations and act as a subject‑matter expert. • Develop, manage, and implement engineering analyses, programs, and short‑ and long‑term projects. • Ensure engineering work meets accuracy, completeness, configuration management, and applicable codes and standards. • Conduct independent research and recommend equipment or techniques to improve performance and reduce costs. • Participate in emergency response, departmental coverage, call‑outs, and support outage activities. • Maintain required access permissions and pass a favorable medical examination.

What You Bring
The role performs advanced technical and engineering problem‑solving to support nuclear plant operations, acting as a resource and technical expert for engineers while making critical technical decisions. It requires deep knowledge of functional discipline, practical application, and relevant industry codes and regulations. Minimum qualifications require a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear Engineering, along with the necessary access permissions and a favorable medical exam. Entry‑level candidates need no experience, mid‑level candidates must have at least two years of nuclear or related engineering experience, and senior candidates need five or more years. Experience with decommissioning cost estimates is highly preferred. • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear Engineering. • Entry‑level: no experience required; Mid‑level: ≥2 years nuclear or related engineering experience; Senior: ≥5 years nuclear or related experience. • Decommissioning cost‑estimate experience is highly preferred.
