About the Role

Daily responsibilities include comprehensive maintenance and repairs of mechanical, plumbing, structural, fire, life safety, and control systems, as well as executing preventative maintenance programs such as cleaning, inspecting, calibrating, and part replacement. The technician also manages facility services, purchasing, inventory control, oversees contracted maintenance, reviews client service request summaries to identify patterns, evaluates vendors, and complies with safety policies for hazardous materials. • Lead operation, maintenance, and repair of critical facility equipment across all building systems. • Serve as technical expert in a specialized craft while maintaining multi‑skill capabilities (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, utility plant). • Perform comprehensive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, plumbing, structural, fire, life safety, and control systems. • Execute preventative maintenance programs, including cleaning, inspecting, calibrating, and part replacement. • Manage facility services, purchasing, inventory control, and oversee contracted maintenance. • Review client service request summaries to identify patterns and implement corrective actions. • Record equipment readings, adjust operations, and ensure compliance with standards. • Evaluate vendors for quality, pricing, and delivery accuracy. • Adhere to safety policies for hazardous materials and maintain a clean work environment.

The Facility Maintenance Technician leads the operation, maintenance, and repair of critical equipment across all building systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Serving as a technical expert in a specialized craft, the role also requires multi‑skill capabilities in electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and central utility plant operations. Required qualifications are a technical certification or associate degree in mechanical systems, electrical technology, HVAC, or a related field, and a minimum of three to five years of hands‑on facility maintenance experience. Candidates must demonstrate expertise in at least one craft area, possess multi‑skill capabilities, understand safety protocols, exhibit strong problem‑solving abilities, and be physically able to perform the duties. Preferred qualifications include professional certifications such as EPA, NATE, or an electrical license, experience with CMMS and building automation systems, knowledge of energy management and sustainability practices, vendor management experience, and the ability to read blueprints and technical manuals. Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, vendors, and team members are also valued. • Hold technical certification or associate degree in mechanical, electrical, HVAC or related field. • Minimum 3‑5 years hands‑on facility maintenance and building systems experience. • Demonstrated expertise in at least one craft area and ability to troubleshoot complex equipment. • Knowledge of safety protocols and strong problem‑solving skills. • Physical ability to lift, climb, and work in varied conditions. • Preferred: professional certifications (EPA, NATE, electrical license) and experience with CMMS and building automation. • Preferred: knowledge of energy management, sustainability, vendor contract oversight, and blueprint interpretation. • Strong communication skills for client, vendor, and team interactions. • On‑site location in Raleigh, NC; no visa sponsorship provided.
