About the Role

• Deliver technical solutions and perform complex engineering tasks on electrical equipment projects. • Operate test equipment, troubleshoot, and work with protective relays, power quality measurements, and rotating machinery. • Produce accurate service reports covering work, product performance, and warranties. • Travel as needed and work variable hours, including nights and weekends. • Perform physically demanding tasks such as climbing, lifting up to 50 lb, and standing for extended periods. • Communicate technical issues clearly and collaborate with team to meet deadlines. • Adhere to all electrical safety standards and environmental conditions.

What You Bring

In this role you will work on assigned projects for electrical equipment, delivering technical solutions to customers and tackling complex engineering assignments that may involve equipment or product design, material testing, process studies, or research investigations. You must demonstrate proficiency with test equipment operation, troubleshooting techniques, protective relays, power quality measurements, disaster recovery, rotating machinery, and protection & control design. Additionally, you will generate timely and accurate service reports on work performed, product performance, and warranties. A high school diploma or GED (or higher) with at least two years of electrical or mechanical industry experience qualifies you, or alternatively completion of an accredited trade program combined with five or more years of experience evaluating and servicing electrical distribution or control systems. Candidates must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship and are preferred to reside within a 75‑mile radius of the work site; active‑duty military members are exempt from this geographical limitation. A bachelor’s degree in engineering and a minimum of one year of field service experience with electrical distribution or control systems are also required. The position requires periodic background and drug screenings, the ability to work variable hours including nights and weekends, and travel within the district, state, region, or country based on customer needs. Employees must be willing to obtain a Department of Transportation non‑CDL qualification and comply with all DOT regulatory requirements when applicable. Physical demands include standing, walking, stooping, squatting, kneeling, reaching, and lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds regularly. A solid understanding of three‑phase power systems and low, medium, and high voltage distribution equipment is essential, along with strict adherence to electrical safety measures. The role may require climbing, extended driving distances, work in extreme weather, poor lighting, ventilation, dust, or high‑noise environments, and the ability to obtain and maintain a valid TWIC card. Proficiency with hand and power tools, effective communication of technical problems and solutions, and collaboration with team members to meet project deadlines are also expected. Relevant experience includes testing, troubleshooting, evaluating, and servicing electrical distribution and control systems, performing power quality measurements, analysis, and working with protective relays. • Hold a high school diploma/GED with ≥2 years experience or a trade credential with ≥5 years, plus a bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred. • Possess at least 1 year of field service experience evaluating electrical distribution or control systems. • Work without corporate sponsorship and reside within 75 miles of the site (military exemption applies). • Complete background and drug screenings; obtain DOT non‑CDL qualification when required. • Maintain a valid TWIC card and proficiency with hand and power tools.
