About the Role
The Fire Protection Engineering Intern will support life‑safety, fire‑suppression, fire‑alarm, detection, and mass‑notification designs for federal projects in Pasadena, CA. The role provides exposure to the full engineering design process and the chance to work under a discipline‑specific mentor. • Design fire protection and life‑safety systems using Revit. • Perform hydraulic calculations for fire‑suppression systems. • Conduct research and produce engineering reports.

What You Bring
Candidates must be pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in fire‑protection or mechanical engineering (third year or beyond), hold U.S. citizenship, graduate after September 1 2026, and maintain a GPA above 3.25. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential. • Pursue a B.S. or M.S. in Fire Protection or Mechanical Engineering (3rd year+). • U.S. citizenship with graduation date after Sep 1 2026. • Maintain a major GPA greater than 3.25/4.00. • Proficient in 3D CAD tools (Revit, AutoSPRINK, HASS, etc.). • Knowledge of NFPA standards and ICC codes (IBC, IFC).
