About the Role
The civil engineer will work on design‑and‑build projects, preparing outline and detailed civil designs, specifications, drawings, and schedules while collaborating closely with clients and contractors. The role supports discipline leads, attends design meetings, produces technical deliverables, maintains document quality, communicates across levels, and manages risks and cost estimates. • Support Civil Discipline leads to achieve H&S excellence and comply with CDM regulations and accepted codes of practice • Attend regular design and discipline meetings and share cross‑discipline information • Undertake technical work to required standards, ensuring Minimum Asset Standard (MAS) compliance and providing challenges when needed • Produce technical deliverables such as engineering calculations (hydraulic, structural, carbon, etc.) • Maintain quality and consistency of all civil engineering technical documents • Communicate effectively at all relevant levels to ensure technical excellence is understood and implemented • Escalate time, cost, or quality issues to the Lead Technical Manager before they become problems • Maintain close links with Engineers and Discipline leads to ensure smooth interfaces, manage gaps/overlaps, and share best practice • Provide and maintain estimates for design works required to deliver the design • Understand, manage, and record design risks and assumptions throughout the project • Ensure designers' responsibilities under CDM are adhered to by all parties • Promote good H&S practice and minimise risks to operators and maintainers (e.g., design out confined spaces and work at height) • Identify and manage environmental issues associated with the design process

What You Bring
The ideal candidate holds a civil engineering degree, has 3‑5 years of design experience (preferably in water/wastewater treatment projects), is progressing toward chartered status, and brings strong client liaison, mentoring, and multidisciplinary project skills. • Degree in civil engineering • 3‑5 years’ experience in engineering design with increasing responsibility and project complexity • Chartered Engineer (ICE) or working towards chartered status • Water/wastewater sector experience (UK, South East Asia, or Middle East) on treatment (non‑infra) projects • Proactive and adaptable to changing scenarios • Proven client liaison skills • Experience on complex multidisciplinary projects • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Mentoring abilities • Experience in an international design consultancy • Strong technical focus, able to innovate and lead by example • Demonstrated experience planning and monitoring project programme, costs and resources to deliver on time and budget • Excellent knowledge of current international codes and regulations • Experience preparing fee proposals and bid submissions • Proficiency with IT and standard industry software, including BIM • Ability to communicate confidently in English with all staff and clients • Experience with Revit, Plant 3D, or Navisworks • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and PDF document management • Familiarity with Bentley ProjectWise and BIM 360
