About the Role

The Construction Manager III role for the Terminal 5 renovation at Los Angeles International Airport is a full‑time, on‑site position with a salary range of $160,000‑$172,000. Reporting to the Sr. Construction Manager, the incumbent will lead construction activities, safety, security and quality, and will coordinate with the design‑builder, stakeholders and LAWA to ensure schedule certainty, budget delivery and compliance with standards. • Lead on‑site construction activities for Terminal 5 demolition and rebuild. • Coordinate safety, security and quality programs across the project. • Manage scope, cost, schedule and operational interfaces for design‑builder. • Develop and implement construction, testing, commissioning and turnover plans. • Identify and mitigate construction risks while adhering to LAWA standards. • Engage stakeholders to communicate needs and resolve issues within scope, schedule and budget. • Oversee the full construction life cycle from pre‑construction to closeout. • Ensure open communication and collaborative problem‑solving with design and construction teams. • Monitor field activities, manpower, materials and equipment to maximize efficiency. • Enforce compliance with work plans, Area Shutdown Requests and contractual obligations. • Verify work against latest plans, specifications, submittals and RFIs. • Track budget estimates and staffing requirements for defined scope. • Proactively address potential problems to meet critical milestones. • Implement safe construction practices to achieve quality control at minimal cost. • Prepare periodic progress reports for senior management and clients. • Enforce project labor agreement policies and company procedures. • Participate in coordination meetings with design‑builder, trade partners, LAWA operations and other stakeholders. • Review and negotiate contractor change‑order claims. • Utilize Microsoft Office, Bluebeam and PM Web for project management. • Provide company‑issued laptop and VPN access; cell phone required; no work‑from‑home. • Transportation to/from the LAX site is the consultant’s responsibility.

What You Bring

Candidates must submit an up‑to‑date résumé, certifications, professional references and a project list. The consultant must provide a company laptop and cell phone, and will be responsible for transportation to the LAX site. • Apply knowledge of construction contracting practices and methodologies. • Possess 10+ years experience on airport projects, including $100M+ contracts. • Experience with Design‑Bid‑Build, Design‑CMAR and Design‑Build delivery methods. • Demonstrated management capability and strong written/oral communication skills. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or related field; master’s preferred. • Professional certifications (e.g., AAAE, LEED, PE, PMP, AICP) are advantageous. • Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends and variable shifts as needed.
