About the Role
The Hospitality Specialist at Cushman & Wakefield supports the Operations Management team at the New York Presbyterian Helmsley Medical Tower. The role oversees front‑desk operations, delivering professional service to hotel guests and building residents while promptly addressing requests and concerns. Daily duties include managing guest registration, room assignments, and reservations, handling incoming calls, coordinating resident move‑ins and move‑outs, and processing payments and billing. The specialist also logs packages, maintains key and cash records, assists with housekeeping and maintenance communication, and performs opening and closing procedures. The role is based in a professional office setting at 1320 York Avenue, New York, NY, and involves regular interaction with guests, residents, and internal service teams. • Greet building occupants professionally and ensure security and safety. • Register guests, assign rooms, and create reservations based on availability. • Verify guest credit, process payments, and compute billing. • Handle all incoming calls, including guest requests, reservations, and call forwarding. • Coordinate resident move‑ins and move‑outs and manage package deliveries. • Maintain key logs, cash receipts, and petty‑cash controls. • Communicate with housekeeping, maintenance, and technical service providers to resolve issues. • Perform opening and closing shift procedures and prepare deposit envelopes. • Provide local NYC information to guests and residents upon request.

What You Bring
The position requires a high‑school diploma or GED (or equivalent technical training), at least one year of front‑desk or related experience, and the ability to obtain Fire Life Safety Director certification. Candidates must be comfortable using standard office equipment and software. • Required: High School diploma/ GED, 1+ year front‑desk experience, ability to obtain Fire Life Safety Director certification.
