About the Role
The Construction Supervisor (Ministry Representative contract administrator) will join the Victoria or Vancouver office to support infrastructure and construction services projects in Western Canada. This role involves complex field engineering assignments, overseeing technical aspects of construction, ensuring quality, safety, and schedule compliance, and coordinating with design engineers and construction management. The position is part of the Critical Infrastructure team, which partners with customers to plan, design, build, and modernize essential assets. Candidates must be willing to work at remote sites as needed and will interact with clients and senior management as required. • Perform complex field engineering assignments, including development, execution, supervision, and coordination of construction activities. • Conduct first‑level quality assurance to verify installations meet plans, specifications, and industry standards. • Supervise construction engineering work and provide technical expertise across assigned disciplines. • Ensure tests and inspections are performed, witnessed, and documented per approved procedures. • Collaborate with construction management to identify and mitigate safety and environmental hazards. • Enforce site‑specific safety procedures and promote safe work practices among personnel. • Review and interpret design drawings and specifications to confirm correct technical execution. • Resolve technical engineering problems and coordinate implementation of solutions. • Develop and monitor discipline‑specific construction schedules and report progress to the Construction Manager. • Oversee material procurement, delivery, and verification of specifications and quality.

What You Bring
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction‑related field, or equivalent experience. • Minimum 5 years of field construction experience, preferably on large civil/structural or industrial projects. • Ability to work at remote construction sites as project needs dictate. • Strong communication and problem‑solving skills to interact with clients and senior management.
