About the Role

What you’ll do: The primary responsibility of this role is to design and develop artwork for printed circuit boards to meet customer‑specific technical, cost, and market requirements. The role often serves as the technical or project leader for small projects. • Prepare layouts, detailed drawings, and schematics using ECAD software. • Plan, execute, and close assigned activities. • Collaborate with manufacturing, product teams, PCB vendors, and suppliers to resolve DFM, DFT, and DFA issues. • Plan, organize, and lead smaller projects. • Ensure PCB design and review processes are understood and followed. • Identify required competencies and personnel for tasks. • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in PCB design process and cycle time. • Build strong stakeholder relationships to define quality levels based on IPC standards. • Achieve results despite minor schematic or placement changes; communicate schedule impacts for major scope changes. • Maintain commitments to deliverable release dates and hold self and others accountable. • Create footprints and manage PCB libraries following IPC2221A, IPC‑SM‑782, IPC7351, UL, and MIL standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • ecad design
  • footprint library
  • design review
  • dfm resolution
  • project lead
  • process improvement

What You Bring

Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in electronics, electronics and communication, or electrical engineering is required, along with 2–3 years of relevant experience. Skills: The candidate must have hands‑on experience with Altium (or equivalent ECAD tools) and strong knowledge of electronic components, footprint creation, and IPC standards. Desired expertise includes thermal management, enclosure design, PCB manufacturing processes, EMI/EMC guidelines, high‑speed board design, signal and power integrity analysis, and automotive high‑power layouts. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are also essential. • Demonstrate basic engineering tools and creative thinking in PCB stack‑up design, BOM, and component placement. • Prioritize effectively and act with speed and focus. • Hands‑on experience with Altium (or Allegro, CADSTAR, PADs) layout and capture tools. • Sound knowledge of surface‑mount and through‑hole electrical components. • Awareness of CIS/CIP databases, thermal management, and enclosure design. • Experience with PCB manufacturing processes, DFM, assembly, testing, and Gerber validation using CAM350. • Knowledge of PCB EMI/EMC design guidelines and hardware testing exposure. • Hands‑on experience with high‑speed board design, signal integrity, and power integrity analysis using Ansys or similar tools. • Automotive domain knowledge for high‑power layout designs. • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
