• Initiate, install, troubleshoot, and optimize customer building‑automation systems using Direct Digital Control technology. • Serve as the local technical contact, delivering effective solutions for complex system issues. • Provide turnkey project delivery for medium to large installations, ensuring proper operation of controls, sensors, and software. • Load software, configure trends, alarms, and reports, and implement time‑management strategies to maintain customer satisfaction. • Document project status and communicate details to customers, including site‑specific training for owners and operators.

The Lead Field Controls Engineer role at ALC focuses on on‑site commissioning of building‑automation systems within an 80‑mile radius of Reno, Nevada. The position requires a self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and customer‑focused professional who will act as a technical role model for other field engineers and resolve complex problems in the field. • Minimum requirement: High School Diploma/GED plus 4+ years experience in building automation, HVAC, or related technical field. • Ability to climb ladders or use lift equipment >8 ft and lift items up to 50 lb; valid driver’s license insurable by company. • Preferred: Bachelor’s or Associate degree or technical certificate in HVAC, controls, or related field; proficiency with WebCTRL and advanced building‑automation software. • Expertise with TCP/IP networks, including wireless technology, and ability to integrate diverse automation systems. • Strong communication skills for translating technical information to non‑technical audiences and effective teamwork. • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications.
