Technical Services Manager - MEP
Manage technical service projects for urban commercial properties as client-side PM.

About the Role
The role is a client‑side technical project manager responsible for directing the delivery of capital works across an urban commercial portfolio. It ensures projects meet brief, lifecycle and energy performance targets, operate safely and sustainably, and comply with statutory standards while coordinating clients, building and asset managers, external consultants and contractors. • Manage end‑to‑end delivery of technical projects, including refurbishments, replacements and infrastructure upgrades. • Act as client‑side project manager, coordinating external consultants, contractors and service providers. • Develop project scopes, budgets and timelines with internal and external stakeholders. • Identify and mitigate project risks, maintain stakeholder communications and provide regular reporting. • Ensure technical compliance, quality assurance and alignment with Crown Estate standards and values. • Maintain accurate project records in PDMS and track milestones, approvals and financials. • Log, monitor and close compliance actions, incidents and risk assessments using RiskWise. • Provide technical oversight for building services such as HVAC, electrical, fire safety and water systems. • Liaise with FM teams to ensure statutory compliance (e.g., LOLER, PUWER, F‑Gas, Legionella) and oversee audits and risk assessments. • Manage technical service contracts, monitor KPIs/SLAs and lead procurement and tendering for capital works. • Act as technical advisor to internal teams, occupiers and external consultants, ensuring transparent stakeholder engagement.

What You Bring
• Hold a degree or HND in Building Services Engineering, Project Management, Facilities Management or related field. • Preferably hold membership of a professional body (CIBSE, IWFM, RICS, CIOB, APM) and health‑and‑safety qualifications (IOSH, NEBOSH). • Possess project management certification (PRINCE2, PMP) and experience using PDMS and RiskWise. • Demonstrate proven experience delivering technical services projects in urban commercial property and managing contracts and service providers. • Show strong understanding of building systems, sustainability practices and performance metrics. • Exhibit excellent communication and stakeholder management skills and the ability to interpret technical data for decision‑making.
