About the Role

As an Assistant Relocation Project Manager, you will lead strategic relocation excellence, delivering comprehensive move outcomes, high customer satisfaction, clear communication, and transparent cost reconciliation while meeting financial objectives through forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis. Your day‑to‑day responsibilities include planning, budgeting, overseeing, and documenting project phases; leading pre‑move meetings; managing RFPs with supply chain; supervising energetic teams; onboarding, training, and team‑building; and coordinating movers, security badges, and technology disconnects/reconnects on site. You will also create and maintain detailed project documentation, guide administrators and managers through logistics, define project scope with senior leadership, schedule post‑move activities, manage vendor scrap pickup and furniture recycling, and provide punch‑lists to ensure a smooth transition. • Lead and manage relocation projects from planning through execution, ensuring on‑time delivery and client satisfaction. • Supervise, onboard, and develop cross‑functional move teams, fostering collaboration and high performance. • Coordinate movers, security badges, technology disconnect/reconnect, and vendor onsite presence during moves. • Create and maintain detailed project documentation, define scope with senior management, and communicate logistics to stakeholders. • Conduct post‑move activities including welcome communications, vendor scrap pickup, furniture recycling, and punch‑list resolution. • Forecast, budget, track expenses, analyze variances, and maintain transparent cost reporting for relocation projects. • Serve as a change agent by reviewing and improving relocation processes, policies, and practices.

What You Bring

Required qualifications include at least three years of corporate experience, a minimum of two years in a supervisory role, proficiency with various IT tools, strong written and verbal communication, and solid analytical and organizational capabilities to manage complex relocation projects and financials. Preferred qualifications feature experience with large‑scale relocation or facility management projects, budget development and variance analysis, advanced team leadership and performance management, and a track record of implementing operational improvements and managing executive‑level client relationships. • Required: ≥3 years corporate experience, ≥2 years supervisory experience, strong IT proficiency, excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills. • Preferred: experience with large‑scale corporate moves, budget development, performance management, operational improvement initiatives, executive client relationship management.

Benefits

The position offers an estimated compensation range of $72,000 to $108,000 per year, is based on‑site in New York, NY, and does not provide visa sponsorship; candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
