What You Bring
We are seeking Project Managers for our busy and expanding Bristol Defence Infrastructure business. The role supports clients in delivering a range of construction infrastructure projects and programmes across the South/South West of England and nationally. Due to the sensitive nature of the projects, candidates must be a sole UK national capable of achieving and maintaining UK MoD Security Clearance (SC); existing clearance is advantageous. Ideal candidates will come from Defence, Rail, Water/Utilities or Highways backgrounds and have proven experience with the processes involved. NEC accreditation is preferred, and experience delivering projects typically valued between £1 million and £10 million, with the potential to support larger programmes. Candidates must have at least five years’ experience focused on NEC contracts, with expertise in NEC/JCT/FIDIC contract administration. Strong communication skills—including verbal, written and presentation abilities—self‑motivation, strategic problem‑solving, and experience managing multiple stakeholders under NEC frameworks are essential. Knowledge of CDM and site health‑and‑safety requirements as they relate to NEC contracts is also required. A degree in an infrastructure or construction‑related subject is required, with chartered or professional qualification from ICE, APM, RICS or similar bodies being preferred. • Sole UK National able to obtain and maintain UK MoD Security Clearance (SC); existing SC desirable. • Minimum 5 years experience managing projects under NEC contracts. • Proven background in Defence, Rail, Water/Utilities or Highways sectors; NEC accreditation preferred. • Ability to lead end‑to‑end project management commissions (£1m‑£10m) and support larger programmes. • Expertise in NEC, JCT and FIDIC contract administration and CDM/site health‑and‑safety compliance. • Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills; self‑motivated with strategic problem‑solving abilities. • Degree in infrastructure or construction‑related discipline; chartered/qualified with ICE, APM or RICS preferred.
