About the Role

The Equipment Technician role supports equipment handling, logistics, maintenance, and shop operations for film and construction gear. Technicians work closely with fellow staff to load/unload cranes, operate forklifts, manage check-ins/check-outs, and keep the shop clean and organized. They also provide customer service to crews on set and coordinate with management, CSRs, and logistics teams. Key duties include loading and unloading equipment, operating forklifts, performing arm swaps on cranes, and maintaining accurate inventory using the Wynne System. Technicians clean, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair gear, ensuring safety compliance and shop readiness. They assist with labeling, shelving, palletizing, and continuous workflow improvements. • Load, unload, and position cranes, remote heads, and other equipment using trailers and forklifts. • Perform crane arm swaps and manage equipment check-ins/check-outs via the Wynne System. • Clean, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair gear to maintain operational readiness. • Maintain an organized, safety-compliant shop and storage areas. • Provide customer service and technical support to on-set crews and internal teams. • Coordinate gear movements and job preparation with management, CSRs, and logistics. • Track inventory, label, shelf, and palletize equipment for efficient rentals.

What You Bring

Candidates should have experience with film equipment, cranes, or machinery, and be able to operate a forklift or obtain certification. Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to lift heavy items in a fast-paced environment are required.
