About the Role
The Principal Solution Architect drives the technical vision for a business‑unit IT department, aligning solutions and platforms with Constellation’s overall strategy. This role translates strategy into actionable plans, stays current with technology trends, and serves as a technical advisor to executive leaders. The architect owns IT enablement of business strategy, accelerates project delivery, and enhances delivery quality. The architect translates business needs into IT solutions, develops portfolio‑specific strategies and roadmaps, and ensures designs conform to the Enterprise Architecture framework. They collaborate with project teams to define solution architecture, oversee design compliance throughout development and deployment, and manage risks and mitigations. Additionally, they provide leadership in application design, communicate concepts to stakeholders, enforce governance standards, and mentor IT personnel while promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion. • Provide 401(k) with company match and employee stock purchase program. • Define and recommend solution architectures aligned with corporate technology roadmap. • Collaborate with IT and business teams to translate goals into technical designs. • Oversee architecture compliance throughout design, development, and deployment phases. • Identify and mitigate risks, supporting project teams with technical guidance. • Communicate architectural solutions to executives and stakeholders. • Lead governance of architecture deliverables and enforce standards. • Mentor and coach IT staff, fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion.

What You Bring
The minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field and eight to ten years of IT architecture experience. Candidates must have strong verbal, written, and presentation skills, extensive SDLC experience, and familiarity with architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman. Additional requirements are deployment architecture design expertise, change‑management experience, the ability to work independently on multiple demands, and willingness to travel domestically. Preferred candidates hold a Master’s degree, possess professional IT architecture certifications, and are experienced with the Open Group’s ArchiMate modeling language. • Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field, 8‑10 years IT architecture experience, SDLC expertise, familiarity with TOGAF/Zachman, deployment architecture design, change‑management, and ability to travel. • Preferred qualifications: Master’s degree, professional architecture certification, proficiency with ArchiMate modeling language.
