About the Role
This position is responsible for installing complex integrated security systems, including wiring, equipment, and programming of access control, CCTV, digital and network recorders, and intercom systems for clients. The role involves installing cabling, field and control equipment enclosures at customer sites according to the National Electric Code and company guidelines, using electronic test equipment to troubleshoot problems, and interpreting blueprints, schematics, software programs, and product manuals. It also requires performing system checks, adjusting, repairing, or replacing equipment, and testing for proper operation while utilizing computer applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, and databases. The incumbent must be able to plan, organize, and prioritize work with close attention to detail, communicate effectively both orally and in writing, work unsupervised, and complete all required paperwork. Hands‑on tasks include using hand and power tools to mount equipment, feeding cables through various structures, drilling holes for wiring, and providing end‑user training as well as isolating network issues when applicable. • Install, wire, and program integrated security systems (access control, CCTV, recorders, intercom). • Perform cabling and equipment enclosure installation per NEC and company guidelines. • Use electronic test equipment to troubleshoot and resolve installation issues. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, software programs, and product manuals. • Conduct system checks, adjust, repair, and test equipment for proper operation. • Utilize computer applications (word processing, spreadsheets, databases) and manage media storage. • Plan, organize, prioritize tasks, and maintain detailed documentation and paperwork. • Provide end‑user training and isolate network problems when needed.

What You Bring
Required qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, A+ certification, and at least three years of experience with digital and analog camera systems and access control systems, plus two years with IP‑addressable security devices and advanced TCP/IP networking skills. A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record is required, and candidates must be proficient with ADT A.I. core card access and CCTV systems. Preferred credentials include an associate degree or technical school graduation, apprenticeship training, and specialized certifications in access control, analog and IP CCTV, and visitor management systems. Additional experience such as MCSE, CCNA, intrusion detection, perimeter security, and security gate operators is a plus. • Required: High school diploma/GED, A+ certification, 3+ years in digital/analog camera and access control systems. • Required: Experience with IP‑addressable security devices (2+ years) and advanced TCP/IP networking. • Required: Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record for company truck operation. • Preferred: Associate degree or technical school graduate; apprenticeship may substitute. • Preferred certifications: ≥3 access control (e.g., Prowatch, C‑Cure), ≥1 analog CCTV (e.g., Bosch), ≥1 IP CCTV (e.g., Genetec), visitor management systems. • Additional valued experience: MCSE, CCNA, intrusion detection, perimeter security, gate operators.
