About the Role
The Maintenance Technician works on‑site to complete maintenance and grounds‑keeping tasks, handling daily work orders, preventive maintenance, plumbing, painting, drywall, HVAC, and appliance repairs, as well as identifying safety hazards and adhering to company safety policies. • Complete work orders for residential units and common areas • Repair broken or leaking plumbing to prevent water damage • Perform painting and drywall repairs as needed • Follow preventive maintenance programs for the building • Identify and repair potential safety hazards • Adhere to company safety policies and measures • Diagnose and repair HVAC systems • Diagnose and repair appliances • Work full on‑site shifts and be on‑call as required • Provide additional hours, including evenings, weekends, and overtime • Assist with move‑outs, turn‑overs, and move‑ins beyond regular hours • Lift and move objects up to 50 pounds regularly • Work in environmentally and physically challenging conditions

What You Bring
The role reports to the Community Engineering Manager and requires a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the ability to work full shifts, on‑call, and occasional overtime. Core Spaces is an equal‑opportunity employer committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion. • High School or equivalent education preferred • Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience • Basic understanding of MEP systems • Knowledge of general maintenance methods and processes • Manual dexterity and problem‑solving skills • Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or attain within first 3 months • Use a variety of hand and power tools safely • Demonstrate safe work practices and proper PPE use • Valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation • Advanced knowledge of HVAC systems (preferred) • Familiarity with tools, common appliances, and devices • Experience with Entrata and Microsoft Office (preferred) • Experience in student housing and multifamily industries (preferred)
