About the Role
The position is a full‑time traveling role supporting advanced technology projects across data center, pharmaceutical, industrial/manufacturing, and EV/battery/renewables segments, based out of Jackson, MS. The incumbent will oversee all phases of commissioning for new builds or retrofits, ensuring compliance with contract requirements and owner expectations, and will integrate commissioning activities into the overall quality‑control plan. Responsibilities include coordinating with architects, engineers, trade partners, and QC/MEP teams; developing and managing detailed commissioning schedules; supervising equipment vendors and ensuring documentation and checkpoints; leading start‑up meetings; contributing to QC plans and equipment databases; monitoring dashboards; handling punch‑list prevention and third‑party testing; and performing inspections of OFCI and CFCI equipment. The role involves regular on‑site work, occasional travel, physical tasks such as climbing ladders and lifting up to 45 lb, and adherence to safety policies in both office and construction environments. • Lead commissioning activities from Level 1 through Level 5 for new or retrofitted facilities. • Align commissioning tasks with the project’s quality‑control and overall schedule. • Coordinate with architects, engineers, trade partners, and QC/MEP teams to ensure compliance. • Develop, iterate, and integrate start‑up and commissioning schedules, minimizing Level 4 overlap. • Manage vendor resources, verify documentation, and enforce checkpoints prior to energization. • Facilitate start‑up and commissioning meetings to communicate updates and QC plans. • Contribute to the creation of project‑specific QC plans, equipment databases, and close‑out dashboards. • Oversee punch‑list prevention, handle third‑party testing, and report results. • Perform OFCI and CFCI equipment delivery inspections in collaboration with superintendents.

What You Bring
Required qualifications are a bachelor’s degree plus at least 12 years of general construction experience in MEP roles, a minimum of 5 years of commissioning experience, strong knowledge of MEP systems, ASHRAE commissioning certification preferred, experience with building management and power management systems, and the ability to interpret complex contract documents. • Minimum 12 years construction experience (MEP) and 5 years commissioning experience. • ASHRAE commissioning certification preferred; strong knowledge of MEP systems and building management systems. • Ability to read and apply contract documents, specifications, schematics, and schedules. • Travel as required; physical ability to climb ladders, lift up to 45 lb, and work in varied site conditions.
