About the Role
The Vice President of Marketing & Customer Zeal leads the development and execution of marketing plans that drive customer growth, loyalty, and operational excellence. This executive champions a company‑wide commitment to exceptional customer experiences, building competitive advantage and accelerating revenue by attracting new customers and deepening existing relationships. Working as a strategic partner, the VP collaborates closely with sales leaders and field partners to ensure all marketing initiatives are customer‑first and aligned with enterprise priorities. The role oversees a multidisciplinary organization covering go‑to‑market strategy, product, field, performance marketing, and marketing operations. • Partner with sales, product, field, and executive teams to align marketing initiatives with business priorities. • Lead change and transformation across matrixed environments, driving growth and customer experience. • Foster an entrepreneurial mindset to innovate and deliver measurable results. • Define and execute go‑to‑market strategies aligned with customer zeal and growth goals. • Improve NPS by collaborating with field leadership on customer experience priorities. • Develop and implement Customer Zeal strategy by vertical market. • Lead segmentation and journey‑mapping initiatives to guide marketing and product decisions. • Create and maintain a Customer Health Index linking satisfaction, retention, and loyalty to financial outcomes. • Oversee performance, product, field, social, digital, email, lead generation, and go‑to‑market execution with unified storytelling and measurement. • Design retention and loyalty programs, including advocacy initiatives to boost lifetime value. • Integrate marketing and customer experience functions to break silos and ensure accountability. • Champion a customer‑first culture through leadership modeling, education, and engagement. • Align communications, incentives, and decision‑making to shared accountability for marketing performance. • Represent the customer voice at the executive level to align brand promise with growth objectives. • Partner on digital transformation projects to enhance customer experiences.

What You Bring
Candidates must have a proven record of leading large‑scale marketing and customer‑experience transformations that deliver measurable growth and brand impact. Required experience includes 10–15 years of progressive customer experience or marketing leadership, with 7–10 years in senior roles managing integrated functions across product, performance, and engagement. The leader must demonstrate ability to create a unified vision, influence executive stakeholders, and translate strategy into measurable business results. Strong expertise in brand strategy, analytics, change leadership, and an entrepreneurial mindset are essential.

This hybrid position is based at Republic Services’ headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona, with four days onsite and one remote day per week; full remote work is not eligible.
