About the Role

The Operations Supervisor – Hauling Operations leads collections activities across commercial, residential, roll‑off and container services within a geographically dispersed area. Reporting to the Operations Manager and General Manager, the supervisor oversees drivers and helpers, implements tactical initiatives, and drives functional excellence and budget achievement. The supervisor provides leadership to achieve safety goals, removes unsafe conditions from routes, partners with sales to address new‑route hazards, and works with maintenance to keep equipment compliant. They oversee accident‑prevention programs, engage employees in a culture of safety, and implement loss‑control measures. The supervisor ensures service meets or exceeds customer expectations, monitors missed‑pickup goals, and resolves unusual requests, equipment breakdowns and schedule changes with timely communication. They act as a positive company representative to drive satisfaction and loyalty. The supervisor sets productivity goals, manages labor hours and disposal expenses, and leads drivers to exceed targets. They create and modify routes to maximize density, reduce route hours through service conversions and container upsizing, and support fleet maintenance to meet budgeted objectives. The supervisor builds a collaborative, communicative team environment, develops talent, and coaches employees toward advancement. Additional job‑related duties are performed as needed.

The pay range for this position is $82,600 to $113,650, varying by locality, and includes an annual incentive target of 10% of base salary.
