About the Role

In the Aerospace Fuels Research & Development Engineering team you will deliver next‑generation smart and connected fuel product designs, guide CAD designers to create 3D models and detailed drawings of complex electro‑mechanical assemblies, and ensure alignment with the Fuels Technology Roadmap. • Generate design solutions meeting internal and customer specifications, creating 2D drawings and 3D models in CREO or CATIA and storing them in PLM. • Guide engineering drawings to ensure manufacturability, including tolerances and finishes. • Propose suppliers and manufacturing methods, such as additive manufacturing, to accelerate prototype delivery. • Collaborate with electronics, software, mechanical and additive manufacturing experts to select optimal concepts. • Produce CAD illustrations for presentations, manufacturing instructions, and product literature. • Develop dimension and tolerance schemes and perform tolerance analysis to optimize designs. • Prepare technology readiness and design reviews, coordinating with manufacturing and supply chain to meet cost targets. • Provide status updates and participate in project team meetings. • Support adoption of new technologies by delivering design guides and training.

What You Bring

The successful applicant will handle US ITAR‑controlled technology, goods and information and may be required to undergo an additional screening process as a condition of employment. • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. • 4–10 years of professional engineering experience, preferably in R&D. • Proficient with CREO or CATIA. • Experience using PLM data‑management systems. • Skilled in designing complex electro‑mechanical assemblies. • Open‑minded and curious about new technologies. • Strong problem‑solving, creativity and analytical abilities. • Good organisational, planning and customer communication skills. • Ability to work effectively under pressure. • Collaborative with strong teamwork orientation. • Excellent time‑management and task‑prioritisation. • Customer‑focused mindset. • Capable of training others and facilitating change.
