About the Role

The engineer will support product development by gathering requirements, creating functional specifications, and managing software change requests, while also troubleshooting field issues in collaboration with product and hardware/software engineers. Test management is a key duty, including designing, planning, executing, and analyzing control system tests, developing test plans, coordinating with internal customers and the Test & Facilities Management team, and recommending improvements to testing procedures. • Gather product requirements and produce functional specifications or software change requests. • Collaborate with product, software, and hardware engineers to troubleshoot field issues and provide solutions. • Design, plan, execute, and analyze control system tests, creating comprehensive test plans. • Coordinate testing activities with internal customers, Test & Facilities Management, and other resources. • Develop or recommend new testing procedures, processes, and resources to improve efficiency. • Ensure adherence to Johnson Controls’ Code of Conduct, business ethics, and safety policies.

What You Bring

This entry‑level position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related engineering discipline, with academic experience in controls engineering, test instrumentation, data acquisition, analysis, and technical reporting. Exposure to industrial sensors, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and related equipment is expected. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering discipline. • Demonstrate academic experience in controls engineering, test instrumentation, data acquisition, and technical reporting. • Familiarity with industrial sensors, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, emulators, probes, and related equipment.
