R&D Test Engineer

Job Highlights
About the Role
• Support and mentor laboratory technicians with hands‑on guidance, troubleshooting, and training to improve testing efficiency. • Lead lab expansion projects, including equipment sourcing, installation, calibration, maintenance, and coordination with facilities and external partners. • Develop, modify, and maintain test procedures, work instructions, and SOPs in line with engineering and testing standards. • Collaborate with internal engineering (NPI/R&D), agency approvals, and third‑party labs to plan and execute product testing before production release. • Diagnose and resolve complex product, instrumentation, and test equipment issues, emphasizing safety, performance, and reliability. • Ensure test data accuracy, consistency, and compliance within an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory environment. • Identify and implement improvements to lab processes, equipment utilization, and test management systems to increase capacity, reduce risk, and control costs.

What You Bring
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent hands‑on lab engineering experience. • Possess 2–3 years of relevant experience with strong mechanical and electrical competence and a hands‑on testing approach. • Demonstrated ability to coach, train, and support technicians on sophisticated test setups, equipment issues, and data interpretation. • Proficient in resolving instrumentation and electronic control problems; experience with PLCs, PID controls, LabVIEW, and equipment calibration preferred. • Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems; familiarity with ISO 17025 lab environments and calibration requirements is advantageous. • EPA 608 certification required or obtainable within three months of start date (company‑paid).
