About the Role

The HazMat Field Driver/Technician transports hazardous and non-hazardous waste to generator sites, operating straight trucks and tractor‑trailers while adhering to government regulations and safety procedures. • Operate various trucks such as roll‑offs, tankers, gravel trains, tractor‑trailers, and box trucks. • Perform less‑than‑load (LTL) pickups. • Maintain driver documentation including logbooks, permits, trip reports, and waste manifests. • Ensure proper placarding, load securement, HAZMAT segregation, and labeling. • Maintain company equipment. • Utilize company mobile apps and software as assigned. • Conduct DOT/MOT pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections. • Communicate effectively with customers to ensure satisfaction. • Process hazardous and non‑hazardous materials as required. • Support housekeeping at facilities and grounds. • Serve as a technician on lab‑pack and field service projects when needed. • Participate in site safety programs and required training. • Prioritize tasks, stay focused, and manage multiple responsibilities. • Access health care and dependent care spending accounts. • Utilize the Employee and Family Assistance Program (EAP). • Take advantage of employee discount programs. • Participate in a retirement plan with generous company match.

What You Bring

• Apply knowledge of state weight limit laws. • Possess knowledge of electrical, plumbing, hydraulic, and compressor systems. • Understand pumps, motors, motor controls, instrumentation, and metal fabrication. • Skilled in using hand and shop tools and instruments. • Demonstrate accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail. • Hold a Class A Commercial Driver’s License with hazardous material and tanker endorsements, or obtain endorsements within 90 days of hire.
