Pharma/Biopharma Senior Project Manager

About the Role
Additional senior‑level duties include overseeing the project‑specific safety plan, understanding the full preconstruction process, completing estimating and productivity analysis, managing project risks, and supporting senior management in client discussions. The Senior Project Manager also drives business development, diversity and inclusion, and collaborates with marketing and external stakeholders. • Lead and promote an injury‑free safety culture; investigate incidents and provide retraining. • Manage the JE Dunn pre‑start checklist and support preconstruction tasks such as quantity takeoff, trade coordination, and scope development. • Develop and execute the buyout schedule, verify pricing, and issue subcontracts. • Coordinate submittal schedules, review and approve shop drawings and samples, and ensure timely return to subcontractors. • Work with Logistics to obtain material and equipment pricing and with Risk Management for subcontractor bonding approvals. • Facilitate communication among subcontractors, owners, field teams, designers, and vendors. • Disseminate change requests, evaluate subcontractor pricing, and obtain owner/architect approvals. • Lead monthly project reviews, progress meetings, and Owner‑Architect‑Contractor (OAC) meetings. • Prepare and process subcontractor and owner pay applications monthly. • Create and maintain project schedules using Lean principles, monitor resources, and mitigate schedule impacts. • Document decisions affecting budget, schedule, legal, quality, and safety; provide regular status and profitability reports. • Develop monthly cost and margin forecasts, monitor budget variances, and drive financial performance. • Execute project closeout using punch lists, final financials, warranty documentation, and coordinate with legal counsel. • Conduct estimating, productivity analysis, and support senior management in preconstruction client discussions. • Identify, assess, and actively manage project risks throughout the lifecycle. • Develop and manage the project business plan to maximize financial success. • Negotiate change orders, contingency expenditures, and fee enhancements; review and approve expense reports. • Collaborate with marketing on presentations and build external industry and community relationships. • Champion diversity and inclusion, ensuring JE Dunn’s non‑discrimination policies are proactively applied.

What You Bring
Candidates must demonstrate strong communication, presentation, and technical skills, proficiency with MS Office, construction‑management software (CMiC), BIM, scheduling tools, and Lean processes. A bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field and at least ten years of construction‑management experience (including pharma/biopharma) are required. The position requires a valid driver’s license, the ability to lift up to 25 lb, and flexibility for travel, non‑traditional hours, and exposure to extreme conditions.
