About the Role
The Assistant Cost Manager role supports the Commission Manager in delivering projects and handling cost management activities across a wide range of project sizes and dimensions. This position works closely with the cost management team to ensure accurate budgeting, reporting, and financial control. Key responsibilities include conducting background research, benchmarking, estimating cost plans, compiling and amending tender lists, analyzing tenders, drafting tender reports, and assisting with procurement documentation. The role also addresses variations, manages change control processes, performs cost checks and valuations, and supports the preparation of final accounts. Monitoring duties involve tracking progress on cost management, drafting monthly cost reports, and maintaining document control for all cost‑related documentation. What You Bring
Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in Cost Management, Quantity Surveying, Construction, Engineering, or a related field (master’s degree is a plus) and have 2‑6 years of relevant experience. Required skills include proficiency in Cost‑X or equivalent software, knowledge of POMI, NRM, and SCEMM measurement standards, native‑level proficiency in the local language, business‑level English, and strong communication and interpersonal abilities. • Hold a bachelor's degree in cost‑related discipline (master's a plus) • Possess 2‑6 years of cost management or construction experience • Proficient in Cost‑X or equivalent estimation software • Knowledge of POMI, NRM, and SCEMM measurement standards • Native proficiency in local language and business‑level English • Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills
