About the Role
The position works Monday through Friday from 3 pm to 1 am at WM’s Naples, FL repair and maintenance shop, providing consistent scheduling to support work‑life balance. As a diesel mechanic you will service trucks and equipment that support over 20 million customers nationwide, using modern tools and procedures to maintain diesel and growing CNG fleets. • Inspect, diagnose, repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, air systems • Estimate time and material costs for repairs and parts • Perform work within Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs) • Respond to emergency breakdown service calls • Conduct safety checks on vehicles • Complete paperwork documenting parts usage and repair times • Assist senior mechanics on project work • Handle repairs from Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports • Maintain clean, safe work area complying with corporate/OSHA standards

What You Bring
• Minimum 2 years relevant work experience • Valid driver’s license with clean record • Age 18 or older • Eligibility to work in the United States • Physical ability to meet job demands with or without accommodations • Pass pre‑employment drug screen and physical • Able to work independently and collaboratively • Determined problem solver • Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, climbing; constant standing, walking, grasping; occasional sitting and balancing • Exposure to dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes • Work in indoor garage/shop/gas plant and outdoor inclement conditions
