About the Role

The incumbent will oversee contract compliance, quality control, and quality assurance inspections for the mechanical scope of projects, ensuring adherence to applicable codes, standards, and contract documents. Key duties include reviewing and interpreting contract documents, maintaining project records, supervising inspection teams, and coordinating with engineers and project leads to resolve discrepancies and keep schedules on track. The role also involves monitoring health and safety, conducting audits, and supporting project handover activities. • Analyze codes, standards, and contract documents; monitor construction for compliance • Interpret and clarify contract documents for contractors • Maintain and prepare records such as progress reports, material accounting, change orders, and record drawings • Supervise and assist the mechanical engineer while directing the inspection team • Conduct weekly meetings with inspectors and the mechanical engineer • Ensure responses meet contract requirements and collaborate with the Project Engineer to resolve issues • Audit inspections for conformity to contract documents and contractor‑submitted plans • Assist the Senior Discipline Engineer in addressing technical issues to maintain schedule • Issue non‑conformance reports (NCRs) for construction or engineering violations • Attend progress and coordination meetings to help resolve site drawing discrepancies • Coordinate snagging and project handover activities and support the Resident Engineer or Team Lead • Liaise with the Design Engineer on required modifications • Provide daily site reports and highlight emerging issues to the Project Lead • Contribute to the preparation of various project reports as directed • Monitor health and safety of construction works and stop work if unsafe practices are observed
