About the Role

The Team Leader – Cyber Defence Infrastructure and Connectivity will guide the Platform Connectivity team in delivering optimal enterprise connectivity and defensive technology solutions, boosting GHD staff productivity, mitigating enterprise risk, and supporting the acquisition of client work. In this role, you will direct platform connectivity and cyber security projects, oversee protective and traffic‑control layers, monitor availability and performance, drive problem‑solving and continuous improvement, manage upgrades and change processes, and help shape the Platform Connectivity strategy and business plan. You will also produce professional reports, communications, and presentations, and securely design, implement and manage ICT systems according to the GHD Risk Management Framework. Leadership duties include fostering an inclusive, high‑performing team culture, setting clear goals, providing ongoing feedback, conducting regular 1:1s and wellbeing checks, facilitating knowledge sharing, and managing recruitment and onboarding to ensure a positive employee experience. • Direct platform connectivity and cyber security projects aligned with GHD’s risk management strategy • Oversee cyber protective and traffic‑control layers for the global technology estate • Monitor connectivity availability and performance to minimize outages and threats • Drive problem‑solving, support escalations and continuous improvement initiatives • Manage system upgrades, planned outages and change processes • Contribute to the Platform Connectivity strategy and enterprise business plan • Produce professional reports, communications and presentations • Securely design, implement and manage ICT systems within the GHD Risk Management Framework • Lead a high‑performing, collaborative and inclusive team culture • Set goals, provide feedback, conduct 1:1s and manage recruitment/onboarding

What You Bring

Candidates should bring deep expertise in cyber security technologies (firewalling, VPN/ZTNA, SASE, cloud edge), networks and connectivity (virtual WAN, routing, switching, wireless), advanced knowledge of Microsoft Defender and vulnerability management, strong technical problem‑solving and analytical skills, and a proactive, collaborative communication style. The position requires a degree in Computer Science or a related field, at least five years of experience in a global professional services environment, prior team‑leader experience, exposure to large Microsoft enterprise environments, and relevant industry certifications. • Expertise in firewalls, VPN/ZTNA, SASE, cloud edge, virtual WAN, routing, switching and wireless • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Defender suite and vulnerability management • Strong technical problem‑solving, analytical and cross‑cultural leadership skills • Degree in Computer Science/IT and 5+ years in global professional services • Experience leading high‑performance teams in large Microsoft enterprise environments • Relevant industry certifications
