About the Role

The Driver – CDL (B) safely operates a collection truck and provides prompt, courteous waste removal services to customers. The role includes ensuring the vehicle meets the company’s safety standards before each shift and adhering to all state and federal regulations while on the road. Daily vehicle condition reports (VCRs) are completed to identify and address any defects promptly. Key duties involve thorough pre‑ and post‑operation inspections of tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment and controls, followed by reporting any safety concerns. While on the assigned route, the driver reads the route sheet, loads refuse using manual or automatic controls, operates the compactor, and disposes of material at the designated facility. The driver also monitors waste for prohibited items, tags unsatisfactory containers, cleans accidental spills according to safety policies, and keeps the truck body clean after each disposal trip. • Perform complete pre‑ and post‑operation vehicle inspections and report safety issues. • Safely operate the collection truck on assigned routes, load refuse, operate the compactor, and dispose of material at the designated facility. • Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers and colleagues; tag unsatisfactory containers and clean spills per safety standards. • Complete daily route, productivity and vehicle condition reports (VCRs) to maintain productivity and vehicle readiness. • Adhere to all safety policies, meet productivity standards and participate in the Company’s ReSOP program.

Professional interaction with customers, dispatchers and coworkers is essential; the driver must maintain a courteous demeanor, address service issues promptly, and uphold the company’s productivity standards. Additional responsibilities include completing route and productivity sheets, participating in the ReSOP safety program, and performing any other job‑related tasks assigned by supervisors. Candidates must hold a valid Class B (or higher) Commercial Driver’s License with an air‑brakes endorsement.
